Hi there blogger friends and follower. I know that I am a bit early for my greeting but as I will be very busy this coming week I decided that I'd better post today. So to start the holidays off I am sharing today my Cricut Club project that everyone finished yesterday and my granddaughters Christmas countdown box and a card I made with my new A Quilted Christmas cartridge. I think that this cartridge and the new Teddy Bear Parade cartridge are so cute!!!
As you can tell I have been focusing on Christmas both at Cricut Club and for my granddaughter's items. I hope you all enjoy. Thanks for stopping by my corner of the web. Please leave me a comment so I know you have been here.

Wow where has the year gone...
Hi there blogger friends and followers. Sorry it's been so long since I last updated my blogger. As I mentioned I got a new full time job and well it's a bit more than full time it's 45+ hours a week and with the stuff I do around the house that doesn't leave much time for crafting. As this is the month of Thanksgiving I want to say that I am so thankful for the new job and I know that it will settle down in time and I will be back to crafting more in the meantime I feel so blessed to have a job when so many Americans don't. Because it's Veteran's day I want to take a moment and thank my son Philip who is currently serving his country and is stationed at Hill AFB in Utah. He is a 3rd generation military man. His father served as did both of his grandfathers. I am very proud to come from a military background and while that means I don't call any one town home I do call the USA home. I pray that God continue to bless this awesome country.
Today I am sharing the project that my Cricut Club made last month. It's a vertical banner and I think it turned out very cute.
I hope you all enjoy. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. Please leave a comment so I know you where here.

MasterCrafter Challenge...
Hi there blogger friends and followers. Today I am sharing the project I made to enter into Sarah Hamer Designs MasterCrafter Challenge. I was one of the lucky 100 to get in on the free package of craft goodies from Sarah aka the Pink Cricut. The link up for this challenge starts tomorrow as does the voting and it lasts for only one week, so if you like my project please go to Sarah blog at www.pinkcricut.com and vote for me so I can win one of the prizes. I bet your are wondering what came in the box, right??? There was a mouse cutter, which cuts ribbon really well. It had a 4x6 DCWV Rockstar paper stack, several lime green rhinestones, 2 buttons, a cloth bag and a small "forever" sentiment stamp from Pink Cricut stamps. I used my Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge to cut all the flowers. I attached the flowers I made from the DCWV paper to the provided cloth bag and to a store bought barrette clip that I purchased at my local craft store for $1. I attached the buttons provided to the flowers on the bag and then attached some of the rhinestones to the buttons. I used the forever sentiment stamp on a tag along with another stamp. I used Tim Holtz distress ink in broken china and tea dye to color the bag and edges of the tag and flowers. The rest of the items to make this project came from my stash. So without further ado here are the pictures of my project.
I am very pleased with how the project turned out, it has a nice vintage look and I think it makes a great gift set. I will be including this in my granddaughters Christmas clothes package. She has very long thick blonde hair that she loves to where in a ponytail so I think this barrette will look very pretty in her hair. Now I just have to find an outfit that it will go with. This should not be to hard as she loves the colors that are in this paper.
I hope you have enjoyed your time here at my little corner of the web. Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment so I know you stopped by.

A new Job & a few Birthday Cards...
Hi there blogger friends and followers!!! Sorry it's been a bit since my last post but I changed jobs. The job I got in June just was not working or rather I should say I was not working at the job, I was only scheduled for 3 days a month. That gave me lots of time but not enough money to do any crafting. God is so good, I was called by my new company and offered a job. The only down side to the new job is that it's full time. I have not had a full time job in a very long time. Of course this means that now I have the money I needed, just not much time to do the crafting. Starting a new job is always stressful, but I know that where God leads he provides. I believe he has led me to the new job and that he has also given me gift of being creative, so I am confident that he will enable me to do both. It just might be a bit tricky getting both done until I get settled into my new job.
Today I thought that I'd share a few of Birthday cards I've made recently. All the supplies came from my stash. I purchased the items so long ago I can not remember where I got them or who makes them. Sorry :-(. Anyway the first card is my attempt at a masculine card. These kind of cards are so hard for me. I know that I saw another card like it, but I can't remember where I saw it or who made it. My card is only inspired by their card because I always make my cards with my twist added in. The second card is for a dear friend who loved this poppy paper that we used for one of the flowers we made at our April Cricut Club, so I thought I'd make her birthday card with it. The last card has 2 pockets. It's for my daughter-in-law, who loves to read so I put a book mark in the front pocket and I will be putting a gift card in the back pocket.

SIWS Challenge #84...
Hi there blogger friends and followers. Today I am entering the Paper Playtimes SIWS challenge #84. I found the challenge by subscribing to Cardz TV. For this card I was inspired by one of the magazines I get. Of course I made the card my way and thought I'd share with you. I used a plain circle punch to form the ladybug's body and head. Then I used a scalloped circle punch to form the wings. I used one of my favorite Happy Birthday sentiment stamps, but I can't remember which company it's by. I used my Cuttlebug swiss dots folder to embellish the background paper & then I sanded it to bring out the dots. As for the ribbon, twine, pom-pom and button they are all from my stash. I used 3-D scribbles shiny paint to make the black dots on the ladybug's wings.
I think this card came out super cute!!!
Hope you have enjoyed your time here at my little corner of the web. Thanks for stopping by. Please leave me a comment so I will know you were here.

Hi blogger friends and followers. Oh my two posts in one day totally not like me, but then I was emailed information about this challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and I just could not pass it up. Since the theme of this weeks challenge is Trains,Planes & Automobiles I thought it would be great fun to enter a card I made for my Pastor's birthday into the challenge and share it with you all too. I used the Wrap it Up Cricut cartridge to make this classic car and I think it turned out just right. All the the papers and embellishments are from my stash.

I made this cute little card for my granddaughter and as it fit the Exploring Cricut Challenge theme for this week I thought I would enter that challenge and share it with you too. Cricut Club coming soon...
Hi there blogger friends and followers... As I mentioned in my last post I have a Cricut club that will be meeting for 3 months and I have just completed the September club project and I also made a cute little pumpkin gift box for the little prize I have for one of the 5 ladies to win. I will be linking these projects to Cardz TV today and at Sarah Hamer Designs on Link Up Tuesday. The frame 3-D home decor item was hard to photograph because of the glass. It looks really good in person and I am hoping that the ladies in my club will like it. They will all get personalized this project by selecting their own initial and then the placement of the accent items. I think it turned out pretty nice. I am not revealing the instructions until after the ladies in my club get them as they have paid for this privilege. I just love how the cute little pumpkin box turned out. I used TBB&M 2 cartridge and some DCWV patterned paper. I can't wait until next Saturday to see what the ladies think. Anyway here are the pictures.
Thanks for stopping for a visit. I hope you have enjoyed your time here at my little corner of the web. Make sure you leave me a comment as I love comments and then I will know you where here.

Goodbye summer, hello fall???
Hi there blogger friends and followers... Sorry it's been awhile since my last post August was a busy month for me. I got to go camping twice last month and just got back from one of those camping trips. Camping over Labor day is a first for me and my darling husband but we wanted to see our family in Utah and thought it would be a great to do two things we enjoy at once. The campgrounds were we stayed was pretty busy. I think a lot of people see Labor day as the "End of Summer." This puzzles me because it does not end until around the 20th of September and I can't understand wanting to rush into cooler shorter days and longer nights, I guess the kids going back to school has something to do with it. Since moving to Eastern Idaho almost 18 years ago, I've learned you enjoy the summer here as long as possible because winter can be really dark, cold and long. Besides I'm just not ready to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall yet. My Cricut Club will start meeting again on September 15th so maybe by then I'll be ready for fall. I am looking forward to crafting with these very special ladies once again. I have 3 special home decor projects planned for them and will be sharing those with you all soon.
Today though I thought I'd share with you a few items I did managed to get made this past month. The first is another one of those decorated bird houses only this one is for my new kitchen. The other items are cards for friends and a candy bar wrapper for a co-workers birthday. All the supplies used to make these items where found in my stash.
I hope you have enjoyed your time here in my little corner of the web. I will be linking these items up at Sarah Hamer Design's "Link up Tuesday" so please take a minute to check out all the craftiness going on at Sarah's blog.
Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment so I know you were here.
Take care and enjoy the rest of your summer.

Hi there Blogger friends and followers. Sorry that it's been awhile since my last post but August was a busy month here in Eastern Idaho. I was finally able to get away for some camping, actually I just got back from camping over Labor day. Cricut Cards...
Hi there blogger family, followers and friends. Just a super quick post to show off some of the Cricut cards I have been making recently. I just love using my Cricut to help me make cards.
The car was from the Wrap it up cartridge, the cupcake from the Celebrations cartridge, the blue mat is from the Elegant edges cartridge, the baby buggy from the Kate's ABC's cartridge, the shaped card base is from the Elegant edges cartridge, the shirt is from the Simply Charmed cartridge. It takes a bit of searching but with 700+ images on most of my cartridges I can usually find something that Cricut can cut that I can use. The paper and embellishments are from my stash.
I hope you have enjoyed your time here. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web.

Birthdays & Thank yous....
Hi there blogger friends and family. Just wanted to take a minute to share with you a couple of Thank you cards I made yesterday. Last week I turned 55 and was totally blessed by my family, friends and the folks at my new job too. I got a Pop up card from one of those friends and it was so cute that I thought I'd make a Pop up Thank you cards to send out to all the people who helped to make my birthday special. These cards are super easy to make and all you need is 1 sheet of 8.5 x 11 cardstock and some scraps of patterned paper, a bit of ribbon and a 3D embellishment, I chose a flower but anything would work. They fit in a standard A2 card envelope too. All the supplies are from my stash. I think they turned out pretty cute!
I will be linking them at Sarah Hamer Designs Tuesday Link up Party.
I hope you have enjoyed your time here. Thanks for stopping by and spending time at my little corner of the web.

Just a little something quick...
Hi there blogger friends & family. I have been cleaning up a lot of stuff around here including my blog. I hope you like the new look it was just getting a bit cluttered so I deleted a few things like that silly Ad sense because after a year I'd made a whopping 41 cents letting them advertise on my blog. I also got a new blinkie thanks to my dear friend JoAnn and I want to say Thanks JoAnn for all your help.
Anyway just want to share a couple little birdhouse I've decorated to give as gifts recently. No die cutting this time but paper crafting anyway.
I bought the paper and the little wooden birdhouses at Joann's the rest of the supplies are from my stash. I think they turned out pretty cute. I hope the ladies who will be receiving them like them. If I get time later this week I will be linking them up on Sarah Hamer Designs "Link up Tuesday." I have been featured on the "Pink link up party" and I have a link button on the right side of my blog, so if you have time please go to her blog and check out all the other crafty peoples creations.
Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. Please leave me a comment so I know you've been by, I just love comments.

Long time no update...
Hi there blogger friends and family. Sorry that it has been so long since my last update. I was job hunting and renovating my home so I did not have much time to update my blog.
God totally blessed me with a new job in Idaho Falls; no more long commutes, Praise the Lord!!! It's a part time nursing job, leaving me plenty of time to craft:-), in an outpatient wound care clinic (I love wound care).
Just prior to starting my new job I decided to finally update my kitchen, this was about 15 years overdue. A two day project took a week but it looks Fantastic!!! A dear friend came over to help me remove tacky pink early 80's floral wallpaper that was hermetically sealed to the walls & paint. It took two days just to remove all the wallpaper & prime the walls. Her sweet husband came by to see if a cabinet that had been over a lower cabinet blocking off the kitchen could be moved and within a couple of hours the cabinet was off the ceiling and placed on a wall and the difference in my kitchen was amazing!!! Here are a few of pictures of the new look in the kitchen.
It still needs a new light over the table as the one that is there now is still pretty 80's and of course I need to get a set of cabinets to be placed under the ones that got moved to the wall, I need a new dishwasher, new counter tops and sink, but all that will have to wait a while as I have company coming next week. I think it looks so nice the way it is now though.
I have managed to get a bit of crafting done recently. As I mentioned above I have company coming soon to help me celebrate my 55th birthday. My darling husband is hosting a Birthday BBQ, so he asked me to do the invites. I thought I'd share a couple of pictures of that too. I cut the pocket from the Camping Critters Cricut cartridge and the tag was cut using the Bags, Tags, Boxes & More Cricut cartridge. I just cut out a single layer of white cardstock & adhered the patterned paper to it before I distressed both with Tim Holtz tea dye ink. The pocket is from a denim colored cardstock and the red check on the top of the tag is on the reverse side of the patterned paper on the card base. Everything attached is also distressed using Tim's tea dye ink. I use some twill and lace from my stash. It was pretty easy to put together. I am going to be linking this to Sarah Hamer's Tuesday Link up Party. I have a link button on the right side my blog so please take a minute and go see what other crafty folks are up to.
The middle of June my precious granddaughter came up for a visit. As she is now nine I thought it was time to get her started on scrapbooking so I gave her an album and a box of scrapbooking supplies. I have just completed a cute little card to send to her with a few new little goodies for her box that I picked up on sale for 50 cents at Walmart. Here is that card. I used the Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge and some paper and ribbon from my stash.
Well that's it for now. I hope you are inspired and have enjoyed your visit. Thanks for taking time to stop by my corner of the web.

Just a little something...
Hi blogger friends, family & followers! I have just a quick post today. On June 10th not only will my darling husband and I celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary but my youngest nephew will graduate from High School. Where does the time go??? He lives in New Hampshire and we wanted to attend his graduation, but the cost of airfare and all the other expenses was too much this year. I made him a card that I am sharing today and I have linked it to Cardz TV and at Sarah Hammers Designs. I have links to both sites on the sides of my blog so please go check them out.
The card was a bit bigger than my standard A2 size so I made a envelope to fit the card too. I used Everyday Paper Dolls and Lacy Labels Cricut cartridges, white and black cardstock, a scrap of patterned paper from my stash, Tim Holtz distressed ink in Pumice Stone and ribbon. His school colors are red and white so I used the red as an accent color.
I like how it turned out and I hope he does too.
Congratulations Ryan and God Bless you!!!

Necessity is the Mother of Invention...
Hi there blogger friends, family and followers. I am sure you have all heard somewhere that old saying "Necessity is the Mother of Invention" Well I am not sure that is what happened this last weekend but as I was struggling to use some of my current craft supplies I was hit with 2 ideas to make using my supplies easier. The first idea came as I was trying to remove an embossing folder from my over full binder, you know the ones that Provo craft sold with the sleeves to hold everything in place. The binder is great for the dies but not so user friendly for the embossing folders that I had. Probably because I really had too many folders in the binder and some of my folders where from other companies, anyway I remembered that I had seen a great idea by Sarah Hamer on her website that she uses for the storage of her stamp sets. So I decided that since I did not need it for stamp storage I could use her idea with a bit of adaptation for my embossing folders. (My clear stamps are in binders alphabetically, yes I am an organization nut but it really helps me be creative.) I cut the dividers using white cardstock, my Just Because Cards Cricut cartridge and my Gypsy. I printed labels off from my computer and ran the printer paper through my Xyron to make them into stickers. I love how it came out and it is so much more organized (yes alphabetically), there is room for some more folders now and it's a breeze to use too. The basket was part of a gift my darling husband gave me last year for mother's day and it originally have lots of bath goodies in it. Since this idea came from Sarah I will be linking it up at her Tuesday Link up party today. So please stop by her site and see all the creative people there. Thanks Sarah for this wonderful idea!!!
The next idea came to me as I was struggling to get some of my Stickles to work and remembered that I had seen a holder for sale on the web that held your Stickles bottles upside down. Since I am not currently working I just could not justify buying this item right now or replacing any stickles either, so I thought what if I used some leftover chipboard and just cut out slots so that they fit together in a grid fashion. So I gave it a try and it work!!! I know the bottom pieces of the chipboard are hard to see in this picture, but they hold the long top pieces in place and keep the Stickles bottles from falling over. The basket is just one of those 3 for a $2 plastic baskets you get at any discount store. I wrote the name of the stickles on the bottom of the bottle with a sharpie marker and yes they too are organized into the RGB or rainbow color order.
I hope this has sparked some ideas for you too. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web.
God Bless,
Vickie

Cricut Club May Project...
Hi there Blogger friends, followers and family. Today I have just a quick post for you. We had such a great time at Cricut Club yesterday that I wanted to share with all of you the project that all the ladies completed. If you live in the eastern Idaho area and would like to join the club for the fall just leave a comment with your contact information and I'll get you the information. Now on to the picture...
I used Graphically speaking, Lovely Floral, Celebrations, Lacey Labels, Stand & Salute, Ribbons & Rosettes and Storybook Cricut cartridges, buttons, stickles, and of course ribbon. I can't remember who the maker of the patterned paper is I think it is Authenticity. I think it came out real cute. I will be linking this project up at Sarah Hammer Designs Link up Tuesday party.

Looking for a new job...
Hi blogger followers, friends & family. As some of you know my part time position was changed last Tuesday to a full time position. This means my job at State Hospital South no longer exists. To continue working at State Hospital South I would have to re-apply for the same job I already had, only now it would mean working full time, plus I had no guarantee I'd be rehired, my 3+ years experience at the job as a part time employee would not be counted when my supervisor decided who to hire and if I got "lucky" enough to get re-hired I would get a major cut in pay. Talk about some bad news!!! After hearing this and talking with my supervisor, I did not feel as though I'd get the job even if I did apply for it. So I cried, I was upset and angry, then I got worried because I like everyone else have bills to pay, then I had a long talk with my darling husband, then I prayed (I should have done this first) and then I did some thinking and I decided to quit my job last Friday. You know what I learned through all this? First, that GOD is in control of EVERYTHING!!! Second, GOD is so good because he had already prepared me for this major change in my life, only I did not realize what was going on at the time I was being prepared. And third that I know GOD will provide for all my needs. I have decided to stop worrying, as it's not going to help, to trust GOD and get on with my life. I have said all this to let you all know that I am excited about what GOD will be doing in my future!!! I am looking for a new job, but LPN jobs are not as plentiful as they used to be. Your prayers for a new job that GOD wants me to have would be appreciated.
Anyway as this is supposed to be my creative sharing place... I had best get on with the sharing. Right, so today I have the gift I made for my Mom in Law for Mother's day to share with you. It was also my Cricut Club's April project. It is my version of a Steampunk Mini Album. I used my Cricut to cut the pages of book and a few of the embellishments on the pages. There are also buttons, feathers, and of course ribbon, well lots of ribbon really. I am not a big fan of the "Steampunk" look, but I think this came out pretty good. It actually has 8 pages, but I thought these 3 pictures are enough to share on a blog. My Cricut club members liked it. For my Mom-in-Law I put pictures of her 4 grown children into it so it was personalized which she loved and that's what really matters. I will be linking this post to Sarah Hammer Designs Tuesday's link up party . I have added a button to the right side of my blog so please take a moment and go see all the creative people there too.
Hope you all enjoy!!! Thanks for your prayers, sweet comments (I just love hearing from you) and stopping by my little corner of the web.
God Bless

Happy Mom's Day...
Hi blogger friends, followers & family. Wow I can't believe that this coming Sunday is Mother's Day already. I am beginning to wonder where the year is going!!! Things here will be changing as of this Friday so tune in to hear the news next week. In the meantime thought I'd share with all of you a sneak peek of what I made for my Mom in Love for Mother's Day this year. I hope she has received her package it before she sees this post. I am very blessed to have a wonderful relationship with her. Also because I am so excited about my next Cricut Club I have included a sneak peak at May's Cricut Club project. I wonder if anyone can guess what these projects might be???
Well I hope you enjoy !!! Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web,

Gifts...
Hi blogger friends, followers & family. So I recently went to a
women's retreat run by my church. I was able to donate a small gift
that was given away as a door prize. I had a good time and I pray that
the lady who won the gift will be blessed. I am sharing the cards I made
for that gift. Some part of each card was made using my Cricut.I will be linking these on Sarah Hammer Designs (aka Pink Cricut) blog on the Tuesday Link up Party, check it out there are lots of wonderful crafts shared there.
