Jars of Love & the 4th of July.....

Hi All,
Today as the celebrations for the 4th of July are being advertized almost hourly here in Arizona I thought I'd share with you all the card I designed for my June 30th Beginner's Card Class. (If you are in the Buckeye AZ area please comment below and I will be happy to send you further information about this class) I got my inspiration from Nancy on Pintrest but I changed it a bit to make it my own, I love how this card turned out. As a daughter of a retired serviceman, the wife of a honorably discharged serviceman and the mom of a currently serving serviceman you can tell that I am extermely proud to be an American * very proud that my family decided to serve their country.  I decided that as this Beginner's class was so close to the 4th of July it would be fun to do something patriotic. I chose Whisper White along with Real Red & Pacific Point for this card. Notice the sentiment is a simple one so that the card can be sent to someone celebrating a birthday in July or it could just be sent to someone serving in the service with a short thank you tucked inside, at least that is what I'll be doing with my card. You can see the items I used listed below if you want to make your own card so all you have to do is click on the picture and it will take you right to my 24/7 online webstore. I'd love to earn your business so  if you want a catalog or have questions please leave me a comment and I'll get right back to you.

Well that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care and until next time... Happy Stampin'!

Oh so Eclectic......

Hi All,
Today I want to share with you a sweet little gift I made for all the ladies that attended my recent card class. We had a blast making 3 cards all featuring the Stampin' Up Eastern Palace Suite stamp set and coordinating Thinlet dies. For the gift I choose to use the Oh so Eclectic Suite of products. I choose Peakaboo Peach cardstock for the base to cover a 3x3 post-it note pad. I cut the the cardstock 6.5 x 3.25 scored it at 3 1/8 from each end of the cardstock. I then attached it the bottom of the post-it note pad. I cut the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series paper at 3 x 3 and adhered it to the top of the cardstock. I then used the Oh So Eclectic stamp set to stamp one of the images onto Whisper White cardstock  in Peekaboo Peach after stamping off the stamp on a seperate paper, this is called second generation stamping.  It gives the ink a lighter look and then with the second stamp I used Peekaboo Peach ink full strength making it appear darker. Second generation stamping is great because with the same ink pad you get two different colors. After stamping the image I used the coordinating Eclectic Layers thinlet dies to diecut the image out. I used Night of Navy ink for the sentiment and punched it out using the Classic Label punch. I attached the sentiment with snail, attached the floral image with a Stampin' Dimensional and then with a rolled up glue dot attached a small Peekaboo Baker's Twine bow to complete the sweet little gift.  All the items I used for this project are listed below and you can purchase them through my 24/7 online webstore by either clicking a picture or going to www.skybowcreations.stampinup.net. I'd love to earn your business so please let me know if you'd like a catalog or have any questions or simply need help. You can leave me a comment and I'll get back to you right away.  If your wish list is long and your wallet can't cover it Stampin' Up is hold a June promotion called "We Heart Hosts" During this June promotion for all orders over $350 the host gets 12% plus and additional $35 rewards for a total of $77 to be used on any item in the catalog,  Even if you don't live near me we can still do a virtual class, party or workshop, just leave me a comment and I'll be in touch. This promotion ends on June 30th so if your are interested you need to act now!!!

Well that's it for today. Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care & until next time.....Happy Stampin'.

Eastern Palace Suite card class......

Hi All,
I am so excited to share today's cards with you all.  Tomorrow I will be teaching a class showcasing all three of these cards. They are all made using the Stampin' Up  Eastern Palace Suite. The suite comes with a stamp set & die bundle, paper and embellishments that all coordinate perfectly. If fact that's what I like about & why I started using Stampin' Up products. I love how Stampin' Up has done all the work for me by coordinating all the products. Everything in the catalog that is one color matches everything else in the catalog that is that same color. Stampin' Up's 2017-2018 catalog has 13 new suites full of coordinating products making it super easy to create beautiful cards, home decor and more. Stampin' UP even has scrapbooking supplies that coordinate with their other products. Some of the embellishments they have this year are amazingly awesome too!!! Ok so on to these cards for the sunflower card I used Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist & Early Espresso cardstock. I have a Very Vanilla card base and sentiment flag. I used the Stampin' Up Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set in Early Espress for the sentiment. The stitched circle framelits for the center of the flower and Eastern Medallion to make the outside of the flower. For the leaves I used the leaves from the Flourish Thinlets. I used the Designer Series paper for the stem of the flower and for the background behind the sunflower. To embellish this card I used a gold vinyl sticker from the Eastern Palace Suite collection in the center of the flower and a small piece of the double stitched ribbon in Daffodil Delight on the stem. For the Enjoy Today card I used the Stampin' Up Eastern Beauty stamp set and Eastern Medallion dies. I also used the layering circle framelits to make a perfect circle around the medallion. Another thing that Stampin' Up did to make their products easier to use,  I used Tranquil Tide and Very Vanilla cardstock for the card base and layer. I used Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst inks, all are new 2017-2019 In Color inks, stamped randomly to make the patterned paper. This is a gate fold card with a belly band wrapped around and the medallion used to hold the card closed. I stamped the Very Vanilla cardstock and then cut it in half before adhering it to the card base. I attached the medallion diecut to the left side of the belly band with a glue dot and then placed the belly around the card I then put another glue dot on the right side of the medallion and once the belly band was in place I adhere the medallion to the right side of the belly band. It makes it easy to remove that way. For the last card I used the Stampin' Up Eastern beauty stamp set and Eastern Medallion dies. This time I simply layered the dies on Very Vanilla cardstock . I used Fresh Fig cardstock to make the mat that's under the Medallion die. I used Fresh Fig ink to stamp the sentiment  the little stamps and the edge of the insert in the middle of the larger medallion die. If you look close you will also see a small gold vinyl sticker and a rhinestone in the center of the middle medallion. Always need a little bling to complete a card. I will have a list at the end of this update so that all you have to do if you see an item you want is just click on the picture and it will take you right to my 24/7 online webstore. I'd love to earn your business so if you live in the USA & don't have a demonstrator I'd like to send you a 2017-2018 catalog. I'd be glad to answer any questions you have about the cards or about any of the products I used to make the cards. Please leave me a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Well that's about it for today.  Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the web, Take care and until next time Happy Stampin'!
