Eastern Palace Suite card class......

Hi All,
I am so excited to share today's cards with you all.  Tomorrow I will be teaching a class showcasing all three of these cards. They are all made using the Stampin' Up  Eastern Palace Suite. The suite comes with a stamp set & die bundle, paper and embellishments that all coordinate perfectly. If fact that's what I like about & why I started using Stampin' Up products. I love how Stampin' Up has done all the work for me by coordinating all the products. Everything in the catalog that is one color matches everything else in the catalog that is that same color. Stampin' Up's 2017-2018 catalog has 13 new suites full of coordinating products making it super easy to create beautiful cards, home decor and more. Stampin' UP even has scrapbooking supplies that coordinate with their other products. Some of the embellishments they have this year are amazingly awesome too!!! Ok so on to these cards for the sunflower card I used Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist & Early Espresso cardstock. I have a Very Vanilla card base and sentiment flag. I used the Stampin' Up Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set in Early Espress for the sentiment. The stitched circle framelits for the center of the flower and Eastern Medallion to make the outside of the flower. For the leaves I used the leaves from the Flourish Thinlets. I used the Designer Series paper for the stem of the flower and for the background behind the sunflower. To embellish this card I used a gold vinyl sticker from the Eastern Palace Suite collection in the center of the flower and a small piece of the double stitched ribbon in Daffodil Delight on the stem. For the Enjoy Today card I used the Stampin' Up Eastern Beauty stamp set and Eastern Medallion dies. I also used the layering circle framelits to make a perfect circle around the medallion. Another thing that Stampin' Up did to make their products easier to use,  I used Tranquil Tide and Very Vanilla cardstock for the card base and layer. I used Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst inks, all are new 2017-2019 In Color inks, stamped randomly to make the patterned paper. This is a gate fold card with a belly band wrapped around and the medallion used to hold the card closed. I stamped the Very Vanilla cardstock and then cut it in half before adhering it to the card base. I attached the medallion diecut to the left side of the belly band with a glue dot and then placed the belly around the card I then put another glue dot on the right side of the medallion and once the belly band was in place I adhere the medallion to the right side of the belly band. It makes it easy to remove that way. For the last card I used the Stampin' Up Eastern beauty stamp set and Eastern Medallion dies. This time I simply layered the dies on Very Vanilla cardstock . I used Fresh Fig cardstock to make the mat that's under the Medallion die. I used Fresh Fig ink to stamp the sentiment  the little stamps and the edge of the insert in the middle of the larger medallion die. If you look close you will also see a small gold vinyl sticker and a rhinestone in the center of the middle medallion. Always need a little bling to complete a card. I will have a list at the end of this update so that all you have to do if you see an item you want is just click on the picture and it will take you right to my 24/7 online webstore. I'd love to earn your business so if you live in the USA & don't have a demonstrator I'd like to send you a 2017-2018 catalog. I'd be glad to answer any questions you have about the cards or about any of the products I used to make the cards. Please leave me a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Well that's about it for today.  Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the web, Take care and until next time Happy Stampin'!

72 cards & New Sale-A-Bration releases.....

Hi All
I'm back today with a short update to share with you this super quick  all Occasions card set. I made all four cards using Stampin' Up's Lift me Up stamp set which I paired with their exclusive Sale-A-Bration Carried Away Designer Series Paper that is only available with a $50 before shipping and tax order until March 31st.  I choose to attach the paper to Mint Macaroon, Smokey Slate. Watermelon Wonder & Peekaboo Peach cardstock. I used Night of Navy ink to stamp the sentiments from the stamp set. I finished the cards with a piece of either Whisper White or Night of Navy baker's twine.  These cards are so easy and very affordable. You just need a Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Pad, coordinating cardstock, Whisper White cardstock , medium Whisper White envelopes and the two different twines. As I mentioned above with any $50 order you'd qualify to choose the FREE designer series paper. If you chose to order those items I listed and picked this package of paper you could make 72 cards. If you notice in the picture below, this stamp set even has a birthday greeting making it a great all around stamp set to own.   Even if you had to add adhesive to your order it would work out to about $1.20 per card including shipping and tax on your order. I just checked the birthday cards my son received from others that where store bought and you just can't beat that price. The basic store bought card runs about $3.00 and there's nothing special about those cards.  The items I used for these cards are listed below so that you can just click on the picture and go right to my online Stampin' Up! webstore.
I also have some great news. As the title of this blog post mentioned Stampin Up has 3 new Sale-A-Bration releases starting 2/21/17. I have listed them below. I will have some cards from 2 of these new products later this week, that is just one of the perks of being a Stampin' Up demonstrator you get to see all the new products early and even get to order them first.... I know there are 4 items listed but one is the same just in wood and clear stamp versions.
Well that's all for today. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. I'd love to earn your business so if you have any questions or need help please just leave me a comment and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible. Take care & until next time Happy Stampin'!!!

Happy Labor Day......

Happy Fall y'all,

I know that my opening sounds so silly coming from me as I was only born in Texas. I  didn't live there much as I was raised all over the USA as a military brat but being born in Texas makes me a Texan, right??? At least that's what I tell my family.  While I may not usually talk with a southern drawl, at this time of the year I love saying "Y'all" as it rhymes with fall. :)

Anyhooo.....I have a quick update for today. I just had to share this super quick and easy fall card. I was inspired by the wind we have here in Eastern Idaho as it started blowing again a few days ago.  I kid you not we were at 93 degrees less than a week ago and then out of nowhere BLAT!!! The early fall weather arrived and for 3 days now the high temperature has been in the low 70's and today we will be lucky if we get to 65 degrees for our high that's about 10 degrees cooler than normal for this time of the year.....okay, okay enough about the weather, let's back to my card.... I made it using watercolor paper & one of my favorite stamp sets " Sheltering Trees" of course I added a twist...can you see it??? I used what I want to call a "gust of wind" stamp from the new Holiday Catalog stamp set " Star of Light."  I love this new stamp set.  The sentiments are absolutely beautiful. The stars are delicate & elegant. It has matching thinlits too.  I can see myself using that stamp set for my Christmas cards this year and probably many other projects too. Now I did not come up with the "gust of wind" idea all by myself. I had seen another demonstrators card about 1 month ago and I thought at the time once fall arrives here it'll be great but right now it's 95 degrees out and I am enjoying my summer weather. I think that thinking about fall was just too far away for me at the time. Well I must have I forgot to pin it so I spent several hours yesterday trying to find it again, I wanted to give that demonstrator credit but alas I could not find it again. I know that mine doesn't look exactly like the other one but still I like to give other demonstrators credit when I use their idea as a starting point for mine. I decided to go ahead and entered it into a challenge over at my upline's Facebook group. Since it's a closed group I thought I'd share it with you today.  As part of the challenge I had to use at least 3 of these colors:  dapper denim, cajun craze, emerald envy, delightful dijon & early espresso in my entry.  I used all 5 and I just adore how it turned out.  I stamped the "gust of wind" into the center of the watercolor paper using delightful dijon and simply stamped the tree trunk using early espresso ink right on top of the wind stamp . I "stamped off" the stamp first on a scrap piece of paper so that it wasn't too dark for the watercolor look I wanted. I think it looks just right.  I then inked up the larger leaf stamp in emerald envy and then "pounced" the stamp using markers with the other 3 colors. I then misted the stamp and then set it down on top of the branches. I then for the grass below the tree I took the grass stamp inked it up in delightful dijon, then stamped it off before I pounced it with emerald envy. I then misted that stamp and set it down below the tree.  I stamped the sentiment in the lower left corner in dapper denim. I then stamped the small leaf stamp so that it looks as if they are being blown/falling out of the tree heading to the ground in several of the colors.  I then attached a piece of the Moroccan Designer Series paper to a dapper denim card base that measured 8.5 x5.5, scored at 4.25 inches. Then using dimensionals I attached the piece of watercolor paper on top of the designer series paper. I just love it even without my usual bling.  You'll find the list of products I used to complete the card below. I hope you like it too....
