Happy Spring.....

Hi there blogger family, friends and followers.  So Spring I think may have arrived in Eastern Idaho just as scheduled on the calendar at least today it feels like spring!!!!  Low 50's, sunny and clear beautiful skies almost makes me forget the BLIZZARD we had on Monday and the fall winds that we had on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.  Anyhow you didn't stop by to discuss the weather issues of Eastern Idaho so let me get on with things.  First I need to send out a great big THANKS to all my wonderful family and friends for your prayers for me and my darling but very sick husband who caught a major bad case of pneumonia the last week of February that got him admitted to our local hospital for 9 very long days.  He had a team of 4 doctors taking care of him and many wonderful nurses.  I am very pleased to report that he is improving daily and that he hopes to be back to work next week which is a long month for him to be off work (he's a work-o-alcoholic). He's a diabetic and was almost was in the ICU twice for kidney and O2 and blood sugar issues caused mostly because he refused to go be seen for a "little cold" for about a week so that by the time he finally agreed to be seen he was very sick and could have died before they could have helped him. I know I would not have made it through so many hard and scary days if it wasn't for all those prayers.  So THANKS from the bottom of my very grateful heart.....  If you are married take a moment right now to tell your spouse  just how much they mean to you because you never know when you won't have them around to be annoyed at/bothered by...
So now on to the craftiness of this blog.... since my husband has been home from the hospital I have been working on my March Cricut Club project and....wait for it CARDS, big surprise, not!!!  My Cricut Club gals will be making a cute Easter "RISEN" Banner but as that class meets this coming Sunday I will have to wait to share that to you all next time.  I can show you a few Thank you cards I sent to let people know just how much their prayers and support meant to me. The first card is a digital Sassy Cheryl stamp image that I colored using Tim Holtz Distress Inks like copic markers, I think they blended great and gave me a nice water colored effect. I sent this card to my youngest son who flew home from Omaha where he's attending Law School the night before his dad was discharged from the hospital and he was a huge help. The next one I made using my cuttlebug thanks embossing folder and a Stampin Up stamp and a new Stampin Up punch I just got. I sent this one to a dear friend who happens to be an amazing nurse that works at the hospital where my husband was being cared for. She helped me get the extra help my husband needed and was there to support me everyday. The third card was made using my Creative Cards Cricut cartridge and I sent it to the folks at my office who even though they had only met my husband once, called several times, sent me encouraging texts with their prayers & thoughts daily just to let me know how much they cared about the both of us. They also sent him a cute spring time flower arrangement, just what was needed on the day it arrived as it had snowed yet again that morning. I also made and sent a second "note of thanks" card to my sister in law & her husband.  They came all the way out from New Hampshire just to see my husband and they took me out to 3 special dinners while they where here. The last card is one that I hand stamped and then colored with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Twinkling H2O's for my granddaughter who was so worried about her Pap that I wanted her to know that her concern and prayers were very appreciated.

Well that's about it for now. I hope you have enjoyed your time here.  Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web.  Leave me a comment so I will know you where here.

Summertime...

Hi there blogger friends and followers.  I can't believe it's almost the end of July... I love summer!!!!  I have been able to enjoy some time away with some of my friends, my family (my youngest son is home for a few weeks before he heads off to Law School in Nebraska) and the warm days of summer here in Eastern Idaho. We don't get many of these days, so I have found that I am grateful for each and every one of them. I have been going to Physical Therapy and working a few days each week which is nice. Especially since it's a job that doesn't involve nights, weekends, holidays or being on call anymore. Well enough about me, after all you are here to see something crafty.
Today I have a couple more pages of my Cricut Club's perpetual calendar project to share.  I will be linking at the Pink Cricut "Link up Party" and entering in the Cardz TV "Back to School" challenge.  After I get the project mailed to a very special lady I will share all the pages with you.  As this is a Cricut Club project I used my Cricut for all the cuts but there are too many cartridges to list here.

Hope you enjoy your summer. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web.  Leave a comment so I will know you've been by.

Cricut Cards...

Hi there blogger family, followers and friends.  Just a super quick post to show off some of the Cricut cards I have been making recently. I just love using my Cricut to help me make cards.

The car was from the Wrap it up cartridge, the cupcake from the Celebrations cartridge, the blue mat is from the Elegant edges  cartridge, the baby buggy from the Kate's ABC's cartridge, the shaped card base is from the Elegant edges cartridge, the shirt is from the Simply Charmed cartridge.  It takes a bit of searching but with 700+ images on most of my cartridges I can usually find something that Cricut can cut that I can use. The paper and embellishments are from my stash.

I hope you have enjoyed your time here. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web.

Cricut Club starts January 21st...

I told you all last fall that I have a great group of friends who all have Cricut machines and wanted to learn how to use them better so I had them all come over and we had a Cricut classes where we made 2012 calendars together.  Well some of the ladies that attended the Cricut classes asked me if I'd started a Cricut Club. I was thinking... really people will pay to come make things I design just so they can learn to use their Cricut machines better??? Well as it happens there are 5 ladies who signed up who want to have time together to learn how to do different things on their Cricuts. I am so blessed to have these special ladies in my life.  Because I am so excited about how part of the January project came out I have decided to share a couple of pictures of it.

I made the house using Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge and the Echo park Times & Seasons papers. I used acetate in the windows and if you look carefully you'll even see that there is wallpaper and carpet on the interior of the house.  It was a blast to make and I hope the ladies will enjoy the project.
Thanks for stopping by by corner of the web.

Cricut Play date....

I am so excited because a few friends of mine have Cricut machines which they tell me they don't use much.  What they did not know is that over the last few months they had all asked me separately to help them use their machines and to show them some of the tips and tricks I've learned over the 4 years I've own my bug, so I thought it would be great fun to get them all together at my house for a Cricut Play date.  So I sent out invites and they all said they'd come and I can't wait,  I think this will be fun.  I am hoping that we will be able to get together more than once for Cricut fun.

I am sharing today the 2 card projects the ladies will be making this coming Saturday. One of the cards is simple cause they need to start slow and the other is from one of the lite cartridges and takes a little more work. I sure hope they enjoy learning how to use their Cricut machines.
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Wedding Season...

On June 10th 1976  I married my high school sweetheart, this Friday we will celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary. I can not put into words how blessed I am to be married to my best friend and the Love of my life.  In honor of this occasion I am sharing 2 cards I made for this years wedding season.  The first card was for a young couple who recently tied the knot, they reminded me of my husband and I on our wedding day. The second card is for a very special "older" couple. The third card is for my sweetheart for our anniversary.

I hope you enjoy. Thanks for stopping by.
