Welcome 2014...

Wow so sorry I haven't posted since December of 2013 and here it is almost the end of February 2014.  Holy smokes where is the time going????  I've been busy crafting and working at my "day job" so that means I needed to get organized if I was ever going to be able to find time to update my blog. While reading an email the other day I saw a video on a planner system that one of the ladies that I follow uses. That planner system looked great but it starts at $50 per year and it doesn't include a business records section. Needless to say once I found out the cost I thought I don't need a planner I have my smartphone and all my appointments are in there and they are well except for time for me to create my Skybow Creations which means that I had not scheduled time for blogging updates either. Long story short I put together a planner and business binder all in one for around $20 and now I have time 4 days a week to be creative. I even scheduled into my planner time to update my blog each month!!!  So now on with the update....
In January the gals in my Cricut Club met and they all made 8 all occasion cards, everything from Get well to Happy Birthday.  So today I will be sharing some of these with you.  In February I made a few Valentine's cards and the Cricut Club gals made canvasses with vinyl for home decor.  Next month the Cricut Club gals will be making a "Risen" banner in pastel spring colors. I bet I haven't mentioned that I am so ready for winter to be done, alas we have another month of it here in Eastern Idaho and while the weather has been mild today, well except for the wind, it snowed on Saturday and I an positive that old man winter is not done with us yet. Anyway here are the pictures of the cards and my canvas. The first three cards are from the January Cricut club meeting. The hippo is on a homemade action wobble. The cupcake card is a matchbook fold. The Get well card is a center step card. The party hat card is an interactive slider card made for a special friends son's 30th birthday. The next 3 are the cards I made for Valentines day and they are block cards. The last picture is the project that my Cricut Club gals made for the February club meeting and everyone had their own verse on their canvas.

So now you've seen all  the pictures I hope you enjoyed your time here. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web.  Please leave me a comment so I know you were here.

Long overdue post of Cricut club calendars

Hi there all my followers.  I know that I promised I'd share my Cricut club perpetual calendars with you many times and I just realized that I have not done that.  My Mom in Law has received it and thinks it great so as she has had time to enjoy it I thought I'd share all the pictures with you all.  Sorry there are so many pictures but as there are 12 months in a year so there are 24 pictures. Just so you know it took the club members 6 months to make these calendars and all the cuts are made using a Cricut with loads of different cartridges.

Whew... that's alot of pictures hope you enjoyed seeing each of the months. The ladies had a great time making this calendar.  When they finished all their pages we bound it with my Zutter bind it all.  Now all they have to do each year is buy a package of vellum and print that years calendar pages and then they are good to go for another year.

Cricut Cards...

Hi there blogger family, followers and friends.  Just a super quick post to show off some of the Cricut cards I have been making recently. I just love using my Cricut to help me make cards.

The car was from the Wrap it up cartridge, the cupcake from the Celebrations cartridge, the blue mat is from the Elegant edges  cartridge, the baby buggy from the Kate's ABC's cartridge, the shaped card base is from the Elegant edges cartridge, the shirt is from the Simply Charmed cartridge.  It takes a bit of searching but with 700+ images on most of my cartridges I can usually find something that Cricut can cut that I can use. The paper and embellishments are from my stash.

I hope you have enjoyed your time here. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web.

Cricut Play date....

I am so excited because a few friends of mine have Cricut machines which they tell me they don't use much.  What they did not know is that over the last few months they had all asked me separately to help them use their machines and to show them some of the tips and tricks I've learned over the 4 years I've own my bug, so I thought it would be great fun to get them all together at my house for a Cricut Play date.  So I sent out invites and they all said they'd come and I can't wait,  I think this will be fun.  I am hoping that we will be able to get together more than once for Cricut fun.

I am sharing today the 2 card projects the ladies will be making this coming Saturday. One of the cards is simple cause they need to start slow and the other is from one of the lite cartridges and takes a little more work. I sure hope they enjoy learning how to use their Cricut machines.
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Memorial Day....

I want to say thanks to all the US Troops and their families who have and are serving this country. I pray God Bless you all!!!
I Thought I'd share a picture of a card I've made for my son who is active duty stationed at Hill AFB, Utah.   I can't remember the paper or sticker set I used but the background of the sticker was cut using my Lacey Labels cartridge and my Cricut.I used Tim Holtz' distress ink in vintage photo to age the edges.
Needles to say I am very proud of my son's service to our country. Won't you  please take a minute to thank a service man or woman and to remember their sacrifices which has made us a country of the free, because of the brave!!!

Hope you all have a very Happy Memorial Day.  Thanks for stopping by.

God Bless
