Happy Easter.......

Hi All,
I hope you all had a blessed Easter. My family was able to attend our church and then we were able to have Easter Dinner together with my brother, his wife, her family and their grandchildren too.  It was very pleasant here in Buckeye Arizona at about 80 degrees which meant you could actually wear your Easter dress and not freeze as we did in Idaho Falls the past 22+ years. It was also nice to be able to celebrate the Risen Lord with our youngest son too. That has not been the case in over 10 years.  Here's the card I made for those family and friends who we could not be with yesterday. I used the Stampin' Up Penned and Painted stamp set. This is a 3 step stamp set making this card a super quick and easy card to make. I chose the Suite Sentiments stamp set for the greeting.  I chose Whisper White cardstock for both layers of the card. I first stamped the images in Archival Black. I then used Melon Mambo, Pear Pizazz and Daffodil Delight for the inks to color the flowers and leaves. To get the outline on the entire card layer I just free handed it with a Project life journaling pen. To get the two tone effect on the flowers and leaves I stamped off the first layer of color which is the 2nd stamp in the set that you use. Then for the 3rd stamp I used full strength color. For the flower center and the speckles on the card I chose to use my Gold Wink of Stella pen. I'll have a list of products I used for the card listed below so all you have to do is click on the picture and the link will take you right to my online web store.  Both of the stamp sets and the Gold Wink of Stella pen are retiring will be replaced with something else in June. I am looking forward to all the new Stampin' Up products but I will miss a lot of my favorite products.

Speaking of retiring products Stampin' Up! has released their 2017 retiring products list you can find the entire list of products at www.skybowcreations.stampinup.net which takes you to my Stampin' Up! page and you will need to choose the "shop now" button from the top tool bar then once you are at my web store you will choose from the left menu list Retiring Products and that will take you to the shopping list where you will be able to see all of the products. These products are up to 50% off but they are only available while supplies last so if there is something that you want don't wait get it today!!!!

I  have another quick project to share with you. I made the tags for my grand niece and nephews for Easter and now that they have them I wanted to share them with all of my blog followers and family.
I  used several old and current punches as well as the stitched circle framelits to make the cute little tags for the bubble bottles. Of course as expected they didn't care about the tags they just wanted the bubbles to play with. It was fun to see them enjoying this little gift. It reminded me of when my 2 boys and granddaughter were little. It brought back a simpler time in my life. I kinda of miss those days.

Well that's it for today. Thanks for taking time to stop by my little corner of the web. Take care and until next time. Happy Stampin'

OnStage was Awesome...

Hi All,
So this past weekend I was able to go to Stampin' Up's bi-annual demonstrator event that they call OnStage.  I got to go to San Diego with these 6 wonderful ladies pictured here.  We got to see the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up catalog. We got to touch and see some of the new products. We got to share ideas and business tips with each other and we got to get inspired by what other demonstrators around this area are doing with their Stampin' Up business. Not all demonstrators get to go so it was wonderful to be able to go to this event. The next event is in November in Salt Lake City Utah and as it is a live event meaning the corporate team is going to be there it will be a 3 day event instead of just a 1 day event that this past weekend was. In addition to all the activities I listed above one other thing Stampin' Up demonstrators do whenever we get  together is swaps. A swap is just what it says we swap cards or 3D items we make with other demonstrators.  As a part of this event all the ladies pictured above decided as we are a team that we would do an over the top swap which means we put in extra effort to make a special card or 3D item just for the ladies on the this team. I've decided to share my swap and a couple of the ones I received.

This is mine it was a double slider card which means that when you pull on one end of the card you get both ends to slide out. I choose to used the Stampin' Up Cool Treats Stamp Set & the Frozen Treats Framelit dies to make the sweet treats on this card. I used the coordinating Designer Series Paper along with Crumb Cake for the card base and then I used Pool Party with Peekaboo Peach and Whisper White cardstock to finish the card. The card was well received by all the gals.  Here are some of the swaps I received in return from the members of this team swap
I love this one as it is a Z fold box card and the bumble bees jiggle when you open the card.
This one is a great collage effect card and I absolutely love the hot air balloons on this card.

As a little something special I made all the gals a small gift with a small gift bag. They all thought that this was such a special gift and while each key chain was stamped in a different color each one said that they loved the color they got. Little did they know that I had prayed for each of them as I made their little gift and that I hope that the Lord Bless them abundantly this coming year. Each of these gals are special to me and I just wanted to let them know that.

Well that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care and until next time Happy Stampin'.

Jars of Love thank you....

Hi All,
Today I'm on my way to Stampin' Up's bi-annual OnStage event it's a time for all of us Independent Demonstrators to get together and spend time doing what we love and sharing what we love with others. It's also a time to get to see all the new Stampin' Up products. Stampin' Up as already released to demonstrators a sneak peak of 3 of the new 2017-2019 "In Color" inks and a new suite of products that is absolutely gorgeous.  I can't wait to get my hot little hands on it so I can share it with all of you. Stay tuned for more information on the new products coming soon. So while you wait I want to share with you a lovely thank you card I made recently for a customer.  When you order with me no matter the size of your order I always send a thank you card and I love this Jars of Love stamp set and framelit die bundle. I think the best part is that there are 3 different sizes of mason jars and tons of things you can put in those sweet little jars. I wanted to use the current in colors so I choose Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach & Pear Pizzazz for the flowers and greens. I then chose Pool Party for the jar outline and water.  To get the water to look lighter than the outline of the jar I simply stamped off on scratch sheet of paper before stamping it on the whisper white. The card base is Peekaboo Peach with a mat of Flirty Flamingo. The sentiment is in crumb cake I've listed all the products I used to create this card so you can just click on a picture and it'll take you right to my 24/7 webstore. Remember if you place an order for less than $150 please use my April Host Rewards code 39DWXKFU.  If your order is over $150 then you get the Host rewards to spend.  I'd love to earn your business so please contact me if you have questions, need help or want a set of catalogs and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Well that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care and until next time Happy Stampin'.

Swirly birds & bunnies.....

Hi All,
Today I have a sweet mother's day card to share. I made it using the Stampin Up Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlit dies. They come in a bundle at 10% through May 31st. I love this bundle as there are so many things you can do with it.  For this card I wanted it to be a soft & pink so I chose Crumb cake cardstock for the card base with a layer of  Pink Pirouette cardstock. I added a touch of crumb cake cardstock for the vertical swooshies (yep it's a technical stamping term) with just a hint of cucumber crush cardstock for the leaves.  All the flowers where stamped on whisper white cardstock and then I used the thinlit dies to cut them out. I also used the Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny wishes stamp set for the sentiment and Gorgeous Grunge for the splotches on the card. I also used the Duet Banners punch for the sentiment. I chose to stamp the daisy style flowers in crumb cake ink and color them with daffodil delight water color pencils the swirly flowers are stamped in Pink Pirouette and Sweet Sugarplum inks. For the lines on the leaves I used cucumber crush ink on the cardstock. I think any mother would be happy to receive a card like this handmade by you. So I've place a product list at the end of this update so that you can just click on the picture and it will take you right to my 24/7 online store. Please remember to use my April Host Rewards code 39WDXKFU if your order is less than $150 if it's more than that you get the Host rewards.  I'd love to earn your business so if you have any questions or want a set of catalogs please leave me a comment below and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Spring is here and so are the Easter Bunny Basket too...
I have just one other quick share I made this adorable bunny basket as my treat for all the gals who attended my March Up Up and Away all Occasions card class.  The basket is made using the new Stampin' Up Window Shopping framelit dies and the bunny is from a bunch of different punches. It was a big hit with the gals especially since it was filled with chocolate eggs.  If you live in the Buckeye AZ area and are interested in attending one of these card classes leave a comment below and I will email you with more information.

Well that's it for today. Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care and until next time Happy Stampin'
