Make a Medallion and lots of bling....

Hi All,
Today as promised I am sharing with you cards that I made using 2 of the 3 new Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration released products that you can earn with a $50 before shipping and tax order now until March 31st. I did the same stamping to all three of my cards and then I just changed how the card opens. The Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry is easel style the Mint Macaron and Smokey Slate is tent style and the Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo is wallet style. You maybe asking yourself why did I choose the colors I did???  Well the answer is simple the new Glimmer paper comes in 3 colors can you guess what they are the scalloped circles are in the new colors. The new colors are Sweet Sugarplum, Mint Macaron and Bermuda Bay.  I made the scalloped circles and stamped circles using the Big Shot and the layering circle framelits circle dies all by Stampin' Up! One of the things I like best about Stampin' Up! is that they coordinate everything they sell to match. So if there are several items in say Sweet Sugarplum they will all match exactly so there's not guess work when pairing ink to glimmer paper to cardstock to washi tape Stampin' Up! has already done all the work for me. Yay!!!  There is one other item that is available for the second release it's a stamp set that I mentioned in my last blog post called reverse words and I can't wait until I get that one in my hot little hands. I've added a picture below right from Stampin' Up! so that you can get a look at it and get a couple more ideas about how to use the other 2 products that I used today.  I've also listed below all the supplies I used for these 3 cards today at the end of this post so make sure you check that out. If you decide you'd like to place an order just click on one of those boxes and it'll take you right to my online webstore that is open 24/7.

I think all three samples shown here are amazing and I like how they used some of the products featured from the Occasions catalog too. You can see all the wonderful products available in that new catalog and the Sale-A-Bration product just by cling on the catalog icons on the upper right of this post. I'd love to earn your business so if you have any questions or want a set of catalogs for your very own just leave me a comment and I will get back with you quickly.

Well that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care & until next time Happy Stampin'

New Catalog Swaps....

 Hi All,
Sorry for the gap in posting but as you'll see in this post I've been busy with the new products from the Stampin' Up! 2017Occasions catalog. One of the benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is I get to see the new catalog items early.  I also get to join swaps. A "Swap" is when you make one card many times  and you send them to a organizer and you get that many cards back. So I thought I'd share the card I made for this swap as well as a few of my favorite cards I received in this "Occasions Swap 2017".
For my card I chose my favorite color of Sweet Sugarplum which I combined with Soft Sky and Whisper White.  I stamped the Love heart using Sweet Sugarplum randomly around the boarder of the front of the card base then I stamped the sentiment from the Lift Me Up stamp set using Basic Grey Archival Ink. I then stamped the T-shirt & the sentiment with stamps from the Custom Tee stamp set using Sweet Sugarplum ink onto Whisper White cardstock and them I used the T-shirt Builder Framelit dies to cut out the T-shirt I used the heart shaped die from the Baker's Box thinlits.I cut out the clouds using the the Up & Away framelit dies. I used Wink of Stella on all 3 hearts to add bling because every card is better with bling. I used dimensionals to pop up the t-shirt on the Soft Sky cardstock that I attached to a piece of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock and then I attached the pieces to the front of the stamped card base.

On the card to the left the demonstrator used the Party Animal Designer Series paper and the Party Animal Embellishments and the Birthday Blast stamp set and Star Blast Edgelit Dies. She also used Pacific Point ink and cardstock as well as Whisper White cardstock and a couple of Enamel Shape stars in Pacific Point  and Enamel Shape dots in silver. I have always loved blue, yellow and white together. It looks so fresh and crisp.

For this card the demonstrator used the same Animal Party Designer Series paper and Whisper White cardstock but she choose Tempting Turquoise, Cucumber Crush and Calypso Coral inks. She used the Crazy Cake set and then fussy cut the shapes she used the coordinating Stampin' Markers to make a splatter over all of the card she removed a 1/2 strip of the Whisper White cardstock off the right side of the card front and then she added a thin strip of Tempting Turquoise to the edge of the front and attached the designer series paper to the right edge of the back section of the card. To finish the card she added 3 of our rhinestones.  I love the colors she choose and  how well all the bright primary cards work together.

For this last share the demonstrator used Island Indigo, Real Red & Whisper White cardstock. She cut the hot air balloon using the Up & Away thinlit dies. She then used versa ink & clear embossing powder to add the hot air balloons onto the Whisper White panel which she then used a Soft Sky ink wash in the middle of the Whisper White front panel to bring out the embossed balloons. She then stamped the sentiment in basic gray Archival ink onto vellum which she also embossed in clear powder. She punched out a tiny Real Red heart using the Heart Border punch. She attached s bit of silver metallic thread to the back of the large balloon before she stapled it to the front panel. She then attached the vellum and then the little heart to finish it up she used 3 rhinestones. The background embossed balloons are so pretty I can't wait to try it.

Birth Days & Bonus Days....

Hi there!

Today I am sharing a couple of Birthday cards.  July is a busy birthday month around here with 6 Birthdays to celebrate.  In addition to all the regular summer birthday activities I will be taking a trip with my darling husband to Phoenix for 8 days, yes I said Phoenix in July and while I get that it sounds crazy there is a reason for this craziness....which I will share with you all in another update. As soon as we return from Phoenix, I'm talking the next morning, we will be picking up our darling granddaughter at the Salt Lake City airport and she will be staying with us for a month.  I am so excited to see her. The last time I got to spend time with her she was 10 and she just turned 13 last May...her dad is in the USAF and he is stationed on the east coast in Virginia and with my back issues it makes it very hard for us to travel out that way to see her, so we had to wait until she felt like she could handle an unaccompanied minor trip. We have several special activities planned for her.

Well I guess I'd best get on to the Birthday card details and the Bonus days information.

I know the card on the left looks like it would be a nice masculine card, and it would, but it was for a dear female friend who loves Steampunk. I used some of my Tim Holtz bits and embossing folders but for the envelope, sentiment, some accents, ink and the paper on this card I used Stampin' Up products. The card base is crumb cake as is the embossed clocks layer. I chose Early Espresso & Soft Suede inks to distress the edges of the card base and all over the embossed clock layer. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and I used the new Stampin' Up Classic Label punch. The gold accents are actually Stampin' Up's White Perfect Accents that I colored with a gold sharpie marker to blend with the old gold rub-on paste I used from my stash for the aged effect on the card.  The Mermaid card on the right is for my grand niece who's 4th birthday is during our visit in Phoenix. She is having a Mermaid party so I used my Cricut Teddy Bear Parade cartridge and some patterned paper from by stash but the card base is made from Stampin' Ups whisper white cardstock, I used Peachy keen stamps for her eyes, mouth and nose which I applied glossy accents to to make them shinny. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Ups Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set while the frame around the sentiment comes from the Rose Wonder stamp set and it was die cut using the Rose Garden Thinlits and the Big Shot.  The embossing on the tail is from the retired fancy fans embossing folder & sea shell embossing came from d'vine swirls embossing folder by Provo craft. I then used some Wink of Stella that you can get at Stampin' Up on the sea shells as you can never have to much bling on a Mermaid, right??? The white glimmer edge and fin as well as the gold glimmer in the harp and the pink glimmer star on her head are all cut from Stampin' Up's glimmer paper as is the bear, which I cut from Soft Suede and very vanilla Stampin Up cardstock.. The ribbon and all the pearl accents are from Stampin' Up too. The mermaid is popped up on a action wobble so that she will move for my grand niece when she opens her card. You can find a list of all the Stampin' Up supplies I used listed below along with the July Hostess code. If you just click on the supply item it will take you to my online Stampin' UP store there is also a shop now button on the right side of my blog.
