Coloring inside the lines....

Hi All
Today I just wanted to share the Stampin' Up Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper Inside the lines. I had a new beginner stampers class this past Friday afternoon for gals who just wanted to learn more about what Stampin' Up is all about and get to play with some of the awesome products Stampin' Up has. The 3 ladies were all given these pieces needed to complete this card and yet once the cards where all done each was unique and different. In my card I used the new watercolor pencils and a blender pen to color the piece that is the focal image in this card one of the ladies did the same thing as I did but 1 of the others decided to use markers only and the last did a combination of both pencils and markers and all three cards turned out GREAT!!!! For the card you';; also need a card base in the color of your choice and a scrap of black and a small piece of burlap ribbon, some matching twine and a glimmer paper the one I used is bermuda bay as it was one of the Sale-A-Bration items I got for a recent order and while I would usually hoard it living in this small rental home makes it important that I use what I get because I really don't have anywhere else to keep it and the new annual catalog will be here in just a few short weeks at least for us demonstrators and I know I'll want more Stampin' Up products I always do....oh dear I digress to finish off the card I simply used the handheld stapler to attach the 3 banners to the front of the card after I used the dragonfly dreams stamp set for the sentiment in memento tuxedo black ink this really was a easy card to make the hardest part was getting the colored image to adhere to the glimmer paper circle I tried all my dry adhesives and finally settled on the mono multi glue and it worked like a champ..... If you'd like to recreate this card you will find a list below of the items I used and all you have to do is click on the picture and it will take you to my 24/7 online webstore.  I'd love to earn your business so if you have any questions need help or want to get a set of catalogs just leave me a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Well that't it for today. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. Until next time Happy Stampin'.

Cool Treats "Lego"Birthday card & some Paper Pumpkin news....

Hi All

I'm still on the birthday cards kick as there almost as  many March birthday cards to make as there were in February. Anyway on to today's card it's for my grand nephew. I got the idea from a card I saw on Pintrest by Ryemilan. Of course I changed it to Stampin' UP colors & I used the new Occasions Cool Treats stamp set also by Stampin' UP for the sentiment. The card was fairly easy to make it just takes a bit of time to put it together. So here's how to do it.... First  you'll need a 4.25 x 11 base in pacific point cardstock scored at 5.5 then run that through the Big Shot with the Chevron embossing folder (retired) but any embossing folder would do like maybe Lucky Stars or Sparkle. You'll need to round the corners with the Project life corner rounder punch. Next cut a  rectangle from daffodil delight cardstock at 5.25 x 4. Using the big shot cut out 2  squares using the smallest Layering Square die from the center of the daffodil delight large rectangle in the middle so it doesn't show once the card is assembled. Set these aside for the yellow Legos later. Next cut a rectangle from real red cardstock at 5 x 3.75. You will also need a smaller real red rectangle about 3/4 x 1.5 to form the red Lego piece. Next you'll need a small rectangle about 3/4 x1 of pacific point cardstock to form the blue Lego piece. Next you need a rectangle of whisper white cardstock at 4 x 3.25.  Stamp your birthday sentiment from the Cool Treats stamp set  on the upper end of the whisper white rectangle using Memento Tuxedo black. While that is drying you'll need to sponge the edges of all the "Lego" blocks in matching colored ink. Then with a 1/8 inch circle punch you'll need to punch four dots for the yellow blocks each from the daffodil delight large rectangle, make sure to keep away from the edge so it doesn't show once the card is assembled, You need 6 dots for the blue block and 8 dots for the red block you attach the dots with mini glue dots this takes a couple of minutes but is what makes this card so cute. Once you have all the blocks assembled you then can begin to assemble the card. You'll attach the daffodil delight rectangle to the pacific point base, then the real red  rectangle to the daffodil delight & then the whisper white rectangle to the real red rectangle all with fast fuse adhesive. Once all the layers are assembled you'll attach the real red "Lego" block to the whisper white as shown in the picture. You'll then attach the pacific point "Lego" block using 1 layer of dimensionals as shown in the picture.  Lastly you'll attach the daffodil delight "Lego" blocks using dimensionals stacked in 2 layers and placed on the card as shown in the picture. I've listed the items I used in the card below so if you want to make a "Lego" birthday card you will be able to get the supplies you need.

So now on to the Paper Pumpkin news. As many of you know Stampin' Up has a monthly box that they send out to subscribers that holds a kit that includes everything you need to complete a project for $19.99 but what you may not know if that in March Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin monthly kits turned 4 so in honor of that birthday Sara Douglas the CEO of Stampin' Up!(that's her in the picture) has designed a special April kit that has an extra surprise inside.  You don't want to miss this special box for many reasons, first it's designed by Sara and she's always great at these kinds of kits. Second it's not the normal color orange/red as you can see  from the picture to the left it's black and green and third it has that extra surprise inside. Fourth if you order the 3 month subscription by March 31st not only do you get the special Sara kit but you qualify to choose a FREE Sale-A-Bration exclusive item that's a win-win!!! So I bet you're wondering how do you get this special kit??? All you need to do is just click on the Paper Pumpkin button on the right side of this blog and it will link you right to the Paper Pumpkin subscription site or you can go to to my online 24/7 webstore and choose Paper Pumpkin on the left side menu list. Just remember that to get the April box you'll need to subscribe by April 10th.  When asked please choose me as your demonstrator. . Once you subscribe you'll get a code and you MUST activate that code by April 10th to get the April kit....don't miss out on this wonderful program, I subscribe and have given my granddaughter a subscription too so that we can complete the kit  via Skype. That gives us time to visit and have our crafting time each month. Really since it's a surprise every month it's kinda like a monthly birthday gift to yourself.

Well that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care and until next time Happy Stampin'.....

Moon Baby

Hi All,
Today I wanted to share a super sweet gift set that I made for the co-worker of my hair stylist baby shower. I used the Stampin' UP! Designer Series Subtles paper stack and the new Moon Baby stamp set. I created the cradle using the layering scalloped square and oval framelits. The card base is a standard A2 card measuring 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 out of  Whisper White thick cardstock.  I stamped the baby, teddy bear and the focal image for the card on watercolor paper in Basic Black Archival ink and then colored the images with the watercolor pencils. I used an aqua paper brush to blend the pencil color. I love these paint brushes because there's no mess or spilling. The watercolor pencils just blend like a dream they are the smoothest I've used in a long time. I stamped Hello Baby twice on Pink Pirouette cardstock and used the smallest layering oval die to cut out the oval rocker on the cradle and the heart punch for the card. I put everything together as pictured and tied the cash gift to a couple of wrapped chocolate nugget candies with a bit of the Metallic Ribbon found in the Sale-A-Bration brochure and viola you have a super sweet baby shower gift. I've listed all the supplies I used below so all you have to do is click the picture of the item and it take you right to my online webstore.
