Country Livin' Father's Day card....

Hi All
Today I just want to say Happy Father's Day to my amazing husband. He has been a great dad to both of our sons as well as to all our fur babies. For today's card I broke out Stampin' Up's watercolor paper, Tranquil Tide new 2017-2019 In Color ink and Stampin' Up's Country Livin' stamp set. I also used Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for the sentiment. I used Crumb Cake and Pear Pizzazz inks on the card as well as a bit of glue from the fine tip glue pen to make the windows look like glass that may not show up in the picture. I distressed the edge of the watercolor paper with Crumb Cake ink on a sponge.  I chose burlap ribbon tied up with a tiny bit of the new copper trim. That copper trim is like ribbon but it can be shaped it's awesome. To finish the card I took two of the white perfect accent enamel dots and with a copper sharpie I colored them to match the copper ribbon. I have a confession the card base was to be just plain Tranquil Tide card stock but I accidentally set the corner of it in the Early Espresso ink pad I used for the sentiment so I just sent the rest of the edges in the ink pad and then I added a mat of Early Espresso cardstock to tie it all together.  I think it came out great and my husband love it too. I'll have a list at the end of this update so all you have to do is click on the picture of the item you like and it will take you right to my online 24/7 webstore. I'd love to earn your business so please let me know if you have any questions or problems or just want a new 2017 catalog that just came out on June 1st. Just leave me a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

I am entering this card in the "Let's Hear it for the boys" the TGIF C112 challenge.  I love that group of designers. To see the others you can go to www. tgifchallenges.blogspot.com. I can't lie I don't enter the challenges always but when I do I hope that I win.

Well that's it for today. If your dad is still around give him a hug or a call and let him know that you love him. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care and until next time Happy Stampin'.

Swirly Bird Boat....

Hi All,
Today I'm sharing the card I made for my awesome husband for our 41st wedding anniversary.  I used Stampin' Up's Swirly Bird stamp set to make the sail boat and High Tide stamp set for the water & birds. I stamped the water in one of the new 2017-2019 In Colors of Tranquil Tide and I only inked up the stamp once and let it fade out as it went up to give the card the look of distance from the front of the card. I then put Tranquil Tide ink on a sponge dauber and lightly rub it across the water marks. I then used scrap cardstock to make a mask for the mountains and with another sponge dauber I used Dapper Denim ink. I used the wet dauber  so that it would be darker at the top of the mask going lighter the closer I got to the top of the card. This made both the mountains & the sky.  I then used the 1 3/8' circle punch in another piece of scrap cardstock and with a third sponge dauber in So Saffron I sponged the sun into the sky & with almost dry dauber I put a bit of the So Saffron into the water as a reflection. I stamped the boat base, the greeting, which is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, & birds in Early Espresso. I stamped the sails on another scrap of cardstock in Lemon Lime Twist (another 2017-2019 In Color) & Dapper Denim. I then drew a mast using the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker & a ruler. I fussy cut the sails & put a dimensional to pop them up. I finished the card with a bit of Wink of Stella to the water so that it sparkled & shimmer when the card was moved. All this was done on Whisper White cardstock. Once I completed the picture I attached it to a Dapper Denim card base to complete the card. As an "Artist at Heart" I love how thanks to Stampin' Up  stamps & just a bit of ink I'm able to basically paint a picture. I've added a list of products at the end of this post so that if my artwork inspires you to create a picture too you'll be able to get all the supplies at my online webstore. All you have to do is click on a picture to get to my webstore.  I'd love to earn your business so please leave me a comment if you have a question or just want a catalog & I'll get back to you right away.

Well that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care & until next time Happy Stampin'!

A little something new....

Hi All,
Today I'm sharing a card I made with one of the new die sets called Seasonal Layers and it's coordinating stamp set is called Colorful Seasons. This stamp set is great as it has images from all the seasons of the year and the dies coordinates beautifully. There are two different designer series papers that really work great with this set they are Color Theory and Wood Textures. The Color Theory paper looks like paint samples with the different colors on one side and the other side looks like crackle paint. The Wood Textures paper looks like photos if wood floors and pieces of wood which is great for cutting with the one of the dies from the Seasonal Layers die set. It's actually how I made the chair in today's card. Because the dies coordinate very nicely with all the stamp images in this set, which is great as who likes to fussy cut all these little pieces, notice the class of lemonade sitting on the arm of the chair??? The chair is a special die that looks so great using any of the Wood Texture papers I choose the dark wood paper so that it blended with the soft suede birds. The skyline in the background of the card was made using a one of a kind tool, a torn piece of cardstock mask. I sponged it with Night of Navy heavier nearer the paper mask. I also used the High Tide stamp set for the water and the foreground on the card.  I love how this card turned out.  I have put a list of the products I used on this card below so that if you want to purchase any of these items all you have to do is click on the picture and it will take you to my online webstore which is open 24/7. Please remember to use my June Host Code WRBBBUAB if your order is under $150.  I'd love to earn your business so if you want a catalog or need help or have a question please leave me a comment and I will get back to you as quickly possible.

Well that's it for now. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care and until next time Happy Stampin'!
