Guy Greetings

Hi All,
I know I just shared a post with a Mother's Day gift set and that Father's day is over a month away but I just love how this gift set came out so I wanted to share it with all of you.  I know that the bag is retiring as of May 31st but as of today it is still available. If it sells out before you see this post I have a solution for that you can use the Mini Treat Bag thinlit die set and crumb cake cardstock to make a bag that will look a whole lot like this one. I cut this bag down so now it is just big enough to hold a Hersey's chocolate candy bar but it doesn't have to be that big if you just want to put a gift card in it. I used Stampin' Up's  Guy Greetings stamps for my stamp set. I love this set as it has many different titles to go with the world's greatest sentiment plus it also has a Happy Birthday greeting as well as the one I chose for this set. I used crumb cake, early espresso and very vanilla for the cardstock. I used early espresso ink for all the images.  I used the stitched framelits oval and circle dies. I used the Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder, That's a long name for a unique embossing folder which is a new at Stampin' Up. It gives paper a cool 3D effect, I wanted it to add texture to the early espresso on the card. I distressed all the edges lightly with early espresso. I used the triple banner punch for the ends of the sentiment banner and to finish off the card I chose use 2 Island Indigo enamel shapes to add just a touch of color. I think it turned out great and I think most guys with love to receive this gift set. If you are interested in making this gift set and live in the Buckeye Arizona area please contact me for information on my upcoming class if you don't live near me than I've provided a product list at the end of this post so all you have to do is click on the picture of the item you want & the link will take you right to my online webstore.  Since the new catalog is coming out this month if you shop with me online I will send you not only a thank you card but a written tutorial with all the measurements and specific instructions so you can make this gift set too. Convention 2015...

Hi there Family, Friends & Followers,
Stampin Up Convention 2015 is now in the history books but it was a great time!!!  I've learned so many really cool techniques and got to meet some awesome new friends and loads of Stampin Up demonstrators. It was a very busy 3 days starting with a team meeting so that we could all get to say hi and share "a swap" (a hand created card or 3D item) with each other.
I am proud member of Connie Stewart's Stampin Up team so I'm sharing a couple of pictures of the team members who made it to Salt Lake City for the convention. Four of us have been friends for a while but Marge and Emily are 2 new friends who are super sweet & very creative. Marge lives in California and Emily lives in Oklahoma so now I have friends there too.
One of the highlights of the convention was Awards night and Connie Stewart won in several categories some of that is due to her team members
Before we all went our separate ways there was time for one more team picture.
Now before I go I want to share with you what I made as my team swap.  It's a 3D curvy box flower pot. I made it using the curvy box die, cardstock, ribbon, ink the flower patch Stampin Up stamp set and a jumbo paper clip. I think it turned out very nice and it was filled with chocolate & caramel candy.
I even made one to enter into the design contest at the convention and I hope to hear some time in August that I was chosen as a winner of a $200 shopping spree at Stampin Up!!!

Right now Stampin Up is having a 50% of their Paper Pumpkin monthly kits for first time subscribers so if you are looking for a fun way to spend 30 minutes once a month check it out. You can find all the details at my online Stampin Up store at www.skybowcreations.stampinup.net.

Well as I have several thank you cards & notes to get done so I think that's it for today. I hope you have enjoyed your time in my little corner of the web. Take care and Stamp on....
