Playing with my new toys.....

Hi family & followers, WOW I just can't believe that January 2015 is already history!!!
February is birthday month here at my house so I have been busy making cards for my boys they are turning 35 & 30 this year.... it seems like yesterday they were little....(insert big sigh).  Anyway enough with the walk down memory lane and on to the fun stuff.  As I mentioned in my last post I was waiting for my Stampin Up goodies to arrive, which they did later that day, so I have been playing with all my new toys and I thought I would share the cards I made for my boys and then a couple of Valentine's day cards too.

The card with the 35 on it is for my oldest son.  I used my Cricut Classic Font cartridge for the numbers and  my George cartridge to cut the circles. Then I used my Stampin Up "Endless Birthday Wishes" stamp set for the sentiment and cake, which I colored with my night of navy & real red Stampin Up markers. The card with the anchor and ship on it is for my youngest son.  I used my Stampin Up "The Open Sea" stamp set, my coastal cabana & brown sugar ink pads, my scalloped 3" circle punch, my 1" circle punch  and my decorate label punch. I distressed the edges of the very vanilla paper with baked brown sugar ink. I fussy cut the anchor and used dimensionals to pop the images up. The third card is for  my sweetheart for Valentine's day. I don't have any "Valentine Stamps" so I used my "Because You Care" Stampin Up stamp set, my real red stamp pad and the heart punch from my itty bitty punch pack.  The last card is for my granddaughter and it is a Sherri Baldy's Bestie digi stamp which I bought at Scrapbooking Made Simple when I was there just after Christmas with my mom in law (she drove me 60 miles each way on crazy highways in southern California to get there but it was totally worth it, great store). I think it turned out cute I colored it using my copic markers which I also bought at Scrapbooking Made Simple. I cut both scalloped ovals on my Cricut with my George cartridge. The ticket corner punch is from Stampin Up, but it isn't available any longer....

If you been inspired by any of these cards and want to order any of the Stampin Up products I mentioned just click the Stampin Up icon on the right side of my blog and it'll take you right to my online store, you just chose the shop button and type in the names of the stamp sets in the search box and you'll be able to order your own stamps and create some great cards too!

If you don't have the time to be creative or have never stamped anything or you just aren't sure where to start or you don't have room for a lot of craft stuff... well Stampin Up has a great product just for you. It's called Paper Pumpkin. It's a kit that comes once a month. There is a special website just for paper pumpkin users with a video link at the website to show you how to put the kit together. The kit comes with written instructions & just enough supplies to create some cards or a home decor item. Each kit also comes with a small ink pad spot and a small stamp set that can be used again but that's all that's left over when you are done creating. Sounds good right? It's easy to get started with Paper Pumpkin just click the Stampin Up icon button on the right side of my blog, that takes you right to my Stampin Up online store, chose the shop option at the top of the website then enter code 137858 in the search box for a 1 month for $19.95 or as it is Sale-a-Bration time at Stampin Up you can do a 3 month subscription for $54.95 that's a savings of $5  with code 137859, these prices includes shipping. If you chose the 3 month subscription not only do you get all 3 months but you also qualify for a FREE item from Stampin Up too. Just so you know, there's several things besides stamps to chose from for FREE, like paper, ribbon, button & markers.   If your not sure about it you can just type www.paperpumpkin.com into you web search box and it'll take you to the paper pumpkin website so you can explore before you buy.

Hope that you have enjoyed today's update.  Leave a comment so I know that you dropped by.
