Lions & Tigers & Baby Bears oh my.....

Hi there!

Today I am sharing a sweet card I made for one of my Stampin' Up customers who just had a baby. I used one of the 2016-2017 new stamp sets called Baby Bear. It's a photomolymer photo realistic 3 layer stamp set. Just in case you didn't know I love Teddy Bears and I collect them too, some of my favorites have come from Build a Bear & Boyd's bears, however I love all teddy bears. Anyhow here's the card details. I used crumb cake, tip top taupe and early expresso inks for the teddy bear. I stamped the bear image twice on whisper white cardstock and then I cut out one head and popped that head up on the other image to give it dimension. I added 2 little flower with blushing bride cardstock and a mat to the Crumb Cake card base from Blushing Bride designer series paper  Subtles stack, I finished it off with a bit of  white organza ribbon and pearl accents. I stamped the sentiment in tip top taupe and then used rose wonder stamp set in blushing bride to frame the sentiment. I just love how all the colors match with Stampin Up products. I used the rose wonder coordinating framelits to cut out the tag with the sentiment & the whisper white flower. I used blushing bride cotton ribbon which is retired & the small flowers are both made with punches that are retired too. On the inside of the card I stamped "Congratulations" from the Balloon Celebration stamp set in Tip Top Taupe.  You can find all the current products by clicking on the shop now button on the right side of the blog or if you are just interested in the items I used simply click on the item picture below and it take you right to my online Stampin' Up store. Please use the June hostess code if your order is under $150, it's just under the order here button in the right column and just before the Product list below. Remember if your order is over $150 you get the rewards so don't use the code. Either way please make sure that you DO NOT CHOOSE the "No Contact"  button when checking out, because then I won't be able to send you a thank you card and that would make me really sad.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today.  Thanks for stopping by, please leave me a comment so I know that you were here.  Take care

OnStage coming soon.....

Hi All
I'm so sorry that I haven't posted any updates lately it's just that I've been busy getting ready for Stampin' Up Onstage which starts this coming Wednesday afternoon with a tour of home offices.  I am so excited I can't hardly stand myself.  Getting ready for OnStage means making swaps, a card for Sara Douglass who was promoted to permanent CEO of Stampin' Up, a card to donate to the Stampin' Up's Ronald McDonald House Charities basket and also getting everything here at home prepare for my darling sweet husband and my fur baby Allie. Allie is still recovering from some dental surgery, she is doing well but still needs some extra care. This picture was taken at the vet's office the morning after her surgery and she wasn't feeling so hot.  She had to have some IV fluids and an injection for her vomiting.  She's diabetic and twelve years old so the surgery was hard on her but she's almost back to normal today. She even felt up to going shopping for treats, oh yeah she is a girlie girl puppy and my buddy.

I want to give a shout out to Lacey Ellis she has been helping me tweak my blog and I am loving the way that it is looking so far and can't wait until it's finished!!!!

Well I think that's enough chit chat and that I'd better get on with what I want to share today.  It's for my upcoming April 24th All Occasions Card class. I think it is very elegant and would be great for any wedding no matter what the color scheme.  It was a happy accident with some versamark ink, a heat tool and some iridescent ice embossing powder.  I demonstrated it as a recent workshop and the guests all thought it was wonderful. When I got home I added the "wedding wishes" sediment from Rose Wonder stamp set and voila a sparkly card was done.  Everything looks better with sparkles.  This is the best sparkles though since it's actually an embossing powder it sticks to the versamark ink once it is heated with the heat tool and it doesn't come off on anything.  I LOVE IT!!!!
If you want to make one of these beauties for yourself you can just click on any of the items listed below and that link will take you directly to my online store.

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web.  If you like what you see please leave a comment so that I know you dropped by.  Until next time, take care and happy stamping.

P.S. if you are ordering less than $150 from my online store please use my April 2016  hostess code KMY6XEKZ, however if you are ordering $150 or more don't use that code as you have earned the hostess benefits for yourself. Please do not choose no contact when ordering as that means I can not send you a thank you card and that makes me very sad...:{.

Oops....

Hi All
Well I just realized that the last blog update was on February 17th and that's been several weeks not days as I had hoped.  Sorry for the break in posting, it was just a tad bit hectic around these parts.  Anyway I'm here today and thought that I'd share my recent Cricut Club project. It's a 3-D spring sampler shadow box (some folks on Pintrest call them "inchies"). Except for the frame everything is made using Stampin' Up products.  I think it turned out super cute and all the ladies that got to make one thought it was cute too.

With the glass on the front of the frame it's a bit hard to get a good picture though....

Here it is without the frame but my camera flash was causing me issues on Saturday evening....

If you are interested in purchasing Stampin' Up products and don't have a demonstrator or current catalog please let me know I'll get one out to you right away. If you don't need a catalog to shop you can find all the goodies I used for this project at my online store at www.skybowcreations.stampinup.net or by simply clicking theorder here Stampin' Up button in the upper right corner of this blog. Sale-A-Bration continues through March 31st so you can earn free limited edition Stampin' Up products (these can not be ordered) by placing a $50 (before tax & shipping) order.  You don't want to miss out on this amazing deal.

Paper Pumpkin is getting ready to celebrate it's 3rd birthday and they are sending out special Aqua boxes to celebrate.  Don't miss the chance to get one of these cute little aqua boxes you have until March 10th to get in on that fun.  I think this will go great with Stampin' Up's new movement called "#imbringingbirthdaysback" this is the brain child of the very talented Shannon West.  I got my stamp and have made about 10 birthday cards to send out shortly so I'll be getting those pictures posted soon.

I hope that you enjoyed your visit.  Leave me a comment so I know you dropped by.

Take care and find sometime this week to get your crafting on!!!

I thought the original 11 items where great but these 3 new ones are so SWEEEEET!!!!!  The first is Glitter tape. It comes in gold, silver and a white dazzling diamonds shade. You can see it in the picture below in gold behind the butterfly on the gift box.  The next one is a new stamp set that is so cute and retro it's call pedal pusher. This is a photopolymer stamp set with 11 stamps.  I don't know about you but I'm ready for spring weather and seeing all the kids out on their bicycles. The third item is a stamp set called Party Pants. This stamp comes in both clear mount and wood and it is made to coordinate with the balloon bouquet punch found on page 13 of the Occasions 2016 catalog.  These items along with the other 8 in the Sale-A-Bration catalog (you can see both by clicking the catalog picture in the upper right side of my blog) are only available until March 31st 2016.  I would love to see you all get these Sale-A-Bration items. I would love to come demonstrate them at a workshop so that your friends can see them too. During Sale-A-Bration workshop hosts receive more Stampin' Rewards so for a party totaling $250 you get $50 in Stampin' Rewards during Sale-A-Bration which is double what you usually receive. Happy Valentines.....

Hi All,
So glad that you could stop by.  It's been a while again but I've been dealing with a  health issue, nothing new but my back and SI joint (pelvis) have been giving me a lot more pain so I decided that I should have a check up with my orthopedic surgeon. He told me that due to the delay in fixing my problem (because my idiot insurance company won't cover the surgery costs) the issue has gotten worse and the additional pain I am having is not being caused by a soft tissue injury as I had hoped.  Due to the increased pain I've had to reduce the hours I work to just 10 per week and file for disability...ugh!!! I haven't really felt like blogging & blogging takes time away from my paper crafting so when it's hard for me to do either I just choose to do paper crafting. As I have also decided that since I can't really change a lot of what I'm going through right now I can do some stamping and paper crafting, both of which are great therapy and I can be better at blogging on a regular schedule, so I am going to try to get something posted 2 times a week for the rest of 2016 and well see where that takes us.  Ok enough chatting lets get on with the crafting as that is what you stopped by to see.  So at Stampin' UP there is a new movement afoot started by the brilliant Shannon West she calls it "#imbringingbirthdaysback". Stampin' Up is a great company to work with as they are always encouraging their employees & demonstrators to lead from their heart. I think that Shannon is doing just that with her new movement, so I thought I'd support her efforts and I'd share with you all the birthday cards I've made recently.

These two cards where made for a couple of cute soon to be 13 year olds using the Stampin' Up "Hey Girl" stamp set and the Designer Series Paper "Cherry on Top." I colored the stamped image using colored pencils blended with some odorless mineral spirits. I used Watermelon wonder and Bermuda Bay cardstock for the card bases. I stamped the image with the Archival black ink and to add some bling I used the new Blushing Bride glimmer paper on one of the balloons. I used a few blushing bride sequins that where left over from my January Paper Pumpkin kit.  If you look real close you might catch a glimpse of the "wink of stella" a new glitter brush at Stampin' Up that  I used on the shoes.  I used thick baker's twine for the bow and the Project life corner rounder on opposite corners to add a touch of flair. The balloons are from a punch in the new Occasion's catalog and I fussy cut the dress after I stamped it on the leftover designer series paper.  I think these both came out soooooo cute & I know the girls will enjoy them. The next two birthday cards were made for my mother-in-law and a co-worker. Again I used the Wink of Stella glitter brush, did I mention I love that new tool from Stampin' Up???? I used the Timeless Elegance Designer Series paper and a technique I call chalk painting.  You use a dauber to apply the ink right to the paper.  As this paper is hand painted by one of the artists at Stampin' Up it already has shading done so it makes it a breeze to color these cards.

The next 2 cards are for my boys, they are grown men but as they're my sons they will always be my boys, once a mom always a mom. The card on the left is made using Lovely as a Tree and a Sale-A-Bration stamp set that will not be available after February 15th. It's called Sky's the Limit and I love the vintage biplane in that set. It's a masculine stamp set but with a touch of whimsy. Look closely and you'll see Stampin' Ups shimmer white cardstock. I used a blender pen to get the soft look around the trees and for good measure I used wink of stella again.  You can never have to much bling..... The card on the right is made using Stampin' Up new "Going Places" embossing folder. This new embossing folder is called world traveler and the stamps I used are from the "Guy Greetings" stamp set. I used Lost Lagoon cardstock and the striped ribbon is also in Lost Lagoon.  I love how all the items in a color with Stampin' Up always coordinate.  Stampin' Up takes the guess work out of finding things to go with a designer paper.

These last cards are for my up coming Birthday Card Class.  It is on February 21st & the cost is $25.   If you live in the Idaho Falls Idaho area and want to come make 12 of your own birthday cards get in touch with me so we can work out the details. If you and a  guest of yours sign up for this class you'll both get to make this cute bonus card. That's less than $2 per card even Walmart can't beat that price.

The bonus card can be either masculine or feminine... you just leave the flowers off and turn the crushed curry Regals Designer Series paper over to reveal stripes and you have a masculine card. I just love navy and yellow combined. So about now your probably wondering why so many birthday cards???? I love sending Birthday cards and have been doing it for years. I think a person's birthday is so special and it needs to be celebrated every year.  I want to do something else to support Shannon's movement so if you leave me a comment below with the date of your birthday & address, I will send you a handmade birthday card this year. If you want to buy any of the products I used in my cards just  click the shop now button in the upper right side of my blog just under the catalog or visit my online 24/7 Stampin' Up store at www.skybowcreations.stampinup.com.  Remember that until March 31st there are 11 items available in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. For every $50 dollars you spend before taxes & shipping you are can choose 1 free limited addition Stampin' Up Sale-A- Bration product.  Let me know if you need a catalog. You can just leave  a comment below and I'll get the catalogs right out to you.

Well that was a looooooong post so I'll close as I'm sure you have loads of things to do.  Until we visit again.... Take care of you and take time to enjoy the moments and seasons that our Awesome God has given each of us.

P. S. I will be entering both the Global Design Project challenge and the SUO challenge. So very talented folks at both of these websites....check them out.
