Buckeye Arizona to be our new home.....

Hi all,

Just popping in today to say hi and to update you on our new home search.   Last Friday morning I was able to see a beautiful home. My Realtor and I wrote up an offer with my husband Phil's phone approval as he was at work. Phil was able to get home early that day to see it too and sign the offer forms.  The offer was accepted last Friday evening and so now all the business of buying a new home starts. Our new home is located in Buckeye Arizona which is a bedroom community of Phoenix and where we currently live in a rental home. I know this is a craft blog but I am so excited to be almost done with temporary living and I just wanted to share with you a picture of our new home.

Well that's it for now. Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care and until next time Happy Stampin'.

Guy Greetings

Hi All,
I know I just shared a post with a Mother's Day gift set and that Father's day is over a month away but I just love how this gift set came out so I wanted to share it with all of you.  I know that the bag is retiring as of May 31st but as of today it is still available. If it sells out before you see this post I have a solution for that you can use the Mini Treat Bag thinlit die set and crumb cake cardstock to make a bag that will look a whole lot like this one. I cut this bag down so now it is just big enough to hold a Hersey's chocolate candy bar but it doesn't have to be that big if you just want to put a gift card in it. I used Stampin' Up's  Guy Greetings stamps for my stamp set. I love this set as it has many different titles to go with the world's greatest sentiment plus it also has a Happy Birthday greeting as well as the one I chose for this set. I used crumb cake, early espresso and very vanilla for the cardstock. I used early espresso ink for all the images.  I used the stitched framelits oval and circle dies. I used the Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder, That's a long name for a unique embossing folder which is a new at Stampin' Up. It gives paper a cool 3D effect, I wanted it to add texture to the early espresso on the card. I distressed all the edges lightly with early espresso. I used the triple banner punch for the ends of the sentiment banner and to finish off the card I chose use 2 Island Indigo enamel shapes to add just a touch of color. I think it turned out great and I think most guys with love to receive this gift set. If you are interested in making this gift set and live in the Buckeye Arizona area please contact me for information on my upcoming class if you don't live near me than I've provided a product list at the end of this post so all you have to do is click on the picture of the item you want & the link will take you right to my online webstore.  Since the new catalog is coming out this month if you shop with me online I will send you not only a thank you card but a written tutorial with all the measurements and specific instructions so you can make this gift set too. Please use my May host code ZFTZCWPT if your order is under $150. I'd love to earn your business. If you have any questions or need help or want a new 2017-2018 catalog please leave me a comment and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can.

Well that's it for today. Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care and until next time....Happy Stampin'!

Surprise Eastern Palace Suite....

 Hi All,
Well here it is my first card using the Eastern Palace Suite dies and stamp set, finally. I love how this card came out and I can't wait to get time to play with these products again I've seen some amazing ideas on Pintrest and I am itching to give them a try. This card  was sent to United Kingdom as part of a RAK (random act of kindness) group. If I make it again I would add a rhinestone or glitter enamel to the center. However if you have a bump on international mail the cost goes up sky high to mail it hence the lack of bling on this one. Sure hope the gal it's going to likes it. I choose to keep my color scheme to just 1 color and white so glad I did that as this card looks great even if I do say so myself.  I choose one of the new  2017-2019 In Colors of Tranquil Tide as the only color for this card it is a great color as it changes a bit depending on what you pair it with. I mean near green it looks forest green near blue it looks like a peacock blue. It coordinates with Dapper Denim so well but it also looks great next to all the the other new In Colors which are Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and Berry Burst. If you like this card please consider ordering through me.  I'd love to earn your business. You will find all the information and details about each of the bundles for the Eastern Palace Suite at my online web store. Just click the "Shop Now" button on the right or you can just use this link:  www.skybowcreations.stampinup.net.    Stampin' Up is offering 2 different bundle specials for the month of May. There is a starter bundle and a premier bundle. Both bundles have free goodies with them.  Both bundles are only going to be in these bundles through the end of May so don't wait order your Eastern Palace Suite today!!!!

Well that's it for today. Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the web.  Take care and until next time Happy Stampin'!

Black & White elegance

 Hi All
So I know I told you that I'd have some of the new Eastern Palace Suite samples posted here soon but the puppy playpen that I mentioned in my last post did not work and was returned so now I have a puppy baby gate and it is working much better and I actually got a project done today with a lot of help for my sweet sister in law who came and folded 75 6x6 pieces of paper into the diaper fold packets so that they could be decorated with tea cups that  I die cut for the upcoming Ladies Tea at my church. I know that the puppy phase will be over sooner than I know but for now we are still in the getting things settled phase. Anyway enough about my puppy issues and on to the reason for this blog... Today I thought I'd share with you a card I CASE'd from a swap I received at OnStage in April. It was very simple but elegant. I made it for my mother in law who recently had a special man in her life pass away.  I used the Stampin' Up Remarkable You & Flourishing Phrases stamp sets. I stamped it in Basic Black Archival ink so that I could add Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron ink with my Stampin' Write markers to the flower. I used the stitched oval framelits and the layering oval framelits for the sentiment focal image the I added to the card over a strip of Basic Black cardstock that just went across the whisper white cardstock. While there is very little color in the card I felt it turned out great and says simple elegant Sympathy. I hope she liked it. It's never a good reason to send a card but making cards is what I do and they don't do much good just sitting in a box on a shelf in my craft room. I love the Flourishing Phrases & Remarkable stamp sets because they are so versatile. I have placed a table of products I used for this card below should you too want to make this or other card. The Flourishing Phrases stamp set has a coordinating set of dies called the Flourish Thinlits that I've also added to the table of products below.  It is currently listed as a bundle but the bundle savings of 10% is ending at the end of the month so if you love it don't delay getting it before it's gone. I'd love to earn your business so if you have any questions, need help or just want to get a catalog please leave me a comment and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible,

Well that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. Take care and until next time Happy Stampin'.

Eastern Palace Suite is here....

Hi All,
Today is the day that these awesome bundles go live to everyone. There are 2 different bundles you can get one for a beginner and one for someone who has been stamping for a while. You can check them out at my online webstore at: www.skybowcreations.stampinup.net. As a demonstrator I was able to buy the bundles early. I got so excited once I saw the suite at OnStage in April that I ordered them right away and  had planned to have some samples ready to go but in my hurry I bought the French bundle by mistake & had to wait for the English version stamp set to arrive. It finally arrived last Monday afternoon which should have given me time to play & have samples ready to share before writing this post, but life has a away of getting away from us. Monday evening was full of talking with a mortgage broker and getting information to get a new home here in Arizona. Before I knew it Monday was just a memory. Tuesday dawned & again it was busy especially since I was away from home most of the day running errands. The last errand was to a dog rescue facility. You see I have been missing my Allie Bear who passed away near the end of March and I thought having a new fur baby would help me not think about how quiet the house was without her. No dog can ever replace her, but I thought it might help me not to miss her quite so much. While I was at the dog rescue facility to see a Jack Russell Terrier & Chihuahua mix who was named Bella I saw a super cute Chihuahua & Miniature Pinscher who was just 3 days younger than the puppy I had gone to see. I did not adopt either puppy that day as I wanted to come home pray about this decision as it is a live time commitment. I also spoke with my darling husband and youngest son. My husband wasn't really wanting a new fur baby but he said that if I wanted her I could go ahead and get her as it wasn't going to effect him all that much as he's gone most of the day at work so the puppy training and etc would mostly fall to me with a good deal of help from my youngest son. My husband was pretty great about the whole situation. So to make a long story a little shorter on Wednesday afternoon of last week I went out to the dog rescue facility again and adopted that sweet little Chihuahua & Miniature Pinscher puppy. I'd like you all to meet Petra Roxy Sanders:
She is 3 months old. She weighs in at a whopping 3 pounds and is a huge 6 inches tall. She got her name because she likes to chew on rocks and both of her names mean rock. I think she adorable and I am already in love with her.  So you can see why I've been gone for a little while and what I've been up to. She has a pink sleeping crate but I only use that at night. I've ordered her a playpen which is due to arrive tomorrow so hopefully I will be able to get a few things done. Like housework, laundry and oh yeah some Eastern Palace Suite card samples made.

I the mean time I'm going to share today a 3D Home Decor project with you. I CASED it right from the Stampin' Up catalog. I love the crisp look of Navy, White and Yellow. I had a class and 3 ladies enjoyed making their own version.  I changed the colors a bit from the idea in the catalog. I used daffodil delight and crushed curry baker's twine . The background paper is from the Floral Phrases suite and is now on the retiring list. I made the "S" with the Alphabet dies in Night of Navy cardstock just like in the catalog. I really like the way this turned out. The 8x8 frame was purchased at Michael's on a great sale making it about $5.50 each so the project costs about $9 all in person.  Of course I already had the dies for the letters, the designer series paper, ink pad, clear block and the stamp set so I split the cost of the consumable items and not the cost of the stamp set, clear block or dies as they will be used again in other projects coming soon.  I've listed  all the supplies except for the frame below so if you want to make one for your home all you you have to do is click the picture and it will take you right to my online webstore.  Don't forget to check out the retirement list and the clearance rack too you'll get some great products at terrific prices too. I'd love to earn your business so if you have any questions or need a catalog please leave me a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Well that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by my corner of the web. Take care and until next time....
Happy Stampin'.
